Can I sell the knitted items I have made from your patterns?

The patterns must not be copied, sold or redistributed in any way without permission from Alison Rendall

You can make the knitted items for yourself or as a gift, but please do not sell the finished items or reproduce any element of the patterns in print or online. Contact us if you wish to donate items to charity.

Do you have an outlet in Shetland?

We currently do not have a shop but Scalloway Museum stock a selection of kits.

My finished item is not at the stated size?

Please pay particular attention to the required tension and adjust needle size accordingly. The item size can be changed quite dramatically using larger or smaller needle sizes. Most of the patterns are knitted with UK 3mm needles but many people have used 2.75mm needles to obtain a matching tension. If possible knit a swatch, wash it, and measure your tension once dry.
